it is important to be broke
some epiphanies i had this week:
- if you just take action...if you just move forward even slightly, you will stress much lesser
- if you sleep 7-8 hours, you feel energized and focused throughout the day; who would have thought?
- if you rationalize your emotions of sadness, shame, guilt, regret etc, it is much easier to come out of them
- a good work chair and desk with a picture of someone you love will save you from the worst evils of the world
- a good sense of humour/banter or just the ability to laugh with someone can make you more likeable than most people
- people see right through you; you can't pretend for too long; an asshole will be seen for an asshole
- keeping a log of your overwhelming emotions in a notebook helps acknowledge and deal with them better
- at every point, one thing must go wrong for ten things to go right in the future
- do good work; not for that org or that promotion but for yourself; to show yourself that you are who you claim to be
- figuring out how to make money at an early age can make you a slave to the thing that makes that money thus robbing you of your freedom because you are too young/naive to understand yourself; it is important to be broke; you will make more money, eventually; try to be patient
